- Bart Pardon is a veterinarian (Ghent, 2007) and diplomate of the European College of Bovine Health Management (ECBHM (2016)). He holds a Ph.D (Morbidity, mortality and drug use in white veal calves with emphasis on respiratory disease, 2012) and currently is affiliated with Ghent University (Belgium) as associate professor in large animal internal medicine. In the large animal clinic he focuses on ruminant internal medicine and large animal respiratory medicine. He and his team perform herd health visits in the area of bovine respiratory disease and calf health. His research group focuses on respiratory diseases (predominantly in calves) and rational antimicrobial use. Ongoing projects deal with rapid diagnostics, Mycoplasma bovis, lung ultrasonography, rational antimicrobial use, sepsis, epidemiology of respiratory tract infections, stable air quality and predictive modelling.
